On the beautiful Lake Iseo, in the lovely town of Sarnico, life goes just a little bit slower. Sarnico is a quaint medieval market town on the western shores of Lake Iseo. From the apartment you step straight on the ‘lungolago’ (boulevard) where people strole up and down all year round. In Sarnico you’ll find shops, restaurants and bars, a weekly market and a marina. The boat takes you across the lake to Iseo, the island of Monte Isola and neighbouring villages like Predore, Clusane, Pisogne and Lovere. Walk across the bridge to Paratico and visit the weekly arts and crafts market. Behind the town you’ll find several easy hiking routes taking you up to magnificant views of the lake. Lake Iseo is also a paradise for cyclists. There is a flat bike path on the East-side of the lake taking you from Paratico to Iseo, or you can go up into the mountains. Bikes can be rented in town and the recreational beach area Lido Neptune is a 15 minute walk from the apartment.

Sarnico is the birth place of Riva Boats, for boat lovers known as the Ferarri of boats. It also is the starting point of the wineroute ‘Strada del Vino Franciacorta‘. A 60-minute drive takes you to the popular ski area of Montecampione. In the summer there is a large variety of outdoor sports available. The Acquasplash waterpark is only 15 minutes away and in the area you will find several natural thermal springs like the well known Boario thermal baths and Trescore Balneario thermal baths. Every year the last weekend of July, Sarnico hosts the famous Busker Festival.
